Well if you manage to read to the end of this site, I talk about tomatoes and the only reason I am posting this now is too say that yes indeed some tomatoes have spontaneously returned on their own.  They were babies.  Real small and I didn't even notice them at first.

Seems like it is so much easier to get some big ones from Home Depot, but that is assuming there is a Home Depot which may not be the case for long if you know what I mean.  Do you?

Regardless, the tomatoes that came back are now mixed up with some new ones (heirloom style mind ya) that I grew from seed and then transplanted out to my "square foot garden areas".  They have all advanced enough now that I expect some of them will survive.  Maybe if I get lucky a hardy form of tomato will eventually establish itself and this hardy tomato will come back year after year by itself and I won't even need to grow any from seed.  That would be sweet, but maybe I'm just dreaming.....

Anyhow - that is the report on this year's batch of tomatoes.  The babies seem to be growing and when I have some actual fruit I will report again.
