The Tomatoes...Well if you manage to read to the end of this site, I talk about tomatoes and the only reason I am posting this now is too
say that yes indeed some tomatoes have spontaneously returned on their own. They were babies. Real small
and I didn't even notice them at first. : Seems like it is so much easier to get some big ones from Home Depot,
but that is assuming there is a Home Depot which may not be the case for long if you know what I mean. Do you? : Regardless, the tomatoes that came back are now mixed up with some new ones (heirloom style mind ya) that I grew from seed
and then transplanted out to my "square foot garden areas". They have all advanced enough now that I expect
some of them will survive. Maybe if I get lucky a hardy form of tomato will eventually establish itself and this hardy
tomato will come back year after year by itself and I won't even need to grow any from seed. That would be sweet, but
maybe I'm just dreaming..... : Anyhow - that is the report on this year's batch of tomatoes. The babies seem
to be growing and when I have some actual fruit I will report again. : Peace, Ken

Last Blog Entry - thats it....Well that is it. The two key concepts of battery banks are:
Balance
& Prudence
Plus,
of course, "life" and "loving" are so involved, but they are involved in everything. A bank solidly
based on balance and prudence in its day to day banking activities is a bank with the best chance for sustainability.
We don't have this type of bank now, but I hope that we will soon. Time is of the essence.
I don't
think I'll be adding anything more to this site, but as I mentioned earlier I have several other sites registered and
as these are published, I will provide links here.

This didn't take long....I've thought about it some more, and without a doubt in my mind,
PRUDENCE
Is
a key concept for a battery bank. For if a battery bank gives out more energy then it has in reserve, then the
battery bank is in BIG trouble with the users. The users have certain understood needs (or
you could call it "inherent demands") that "must" be provided reliably, or else, the
battery bank has little value for the users, and because the users have the numbers, after awhile, if the battery bank
can't provide, then the bank goes out of business for good. Such is life in the complex world of real-time battery
banking.

Just NowJust now i'm wrestling a bit with what ought be the next principle for the battery bank idea.
I had one
idea, but after thinking about it more, I've decided that was not it. I think it has something to do with prudence,
but I'm not positive. Still thinking...

VelocitySo sometimes - things (so to speak) happen (so to speak) so rapidly that
there is no way to keep track - i consider this "life happening".

Tomatoes...I'm trying to figure out just now how to keep "my
tomato" experience (story) as simple and succinct as possible. ---- previous text here has been deleted - 9189.
OK - I'm still around (barely - 9189 - new moon day) and the 09 tomato growing season is coming to
a close - I'll be honest this year was a failure for me, but I have learned some new ideas that I'm gonna implement next season
- In particular, I plan on growing more basil - less maintenance than tomato - but I have a new plan for the tomatoes using
a trellis-type system that a friend used this year successfully. Just need to choose a location. This could end up being a real easy way to grow your own
tomatoes (plus other things like basil, which I discovered seems to do real well with tomato --- at least it seemed this way
to me for this season). I'll report back what happens
next season (assuming I'm still around....)
So anyhow, the great thing about tomatoes (or basil for that matter or for a whole lot of useful vegetation) is
if you are careful, I think you can get them to grow in your yard year after year without having to purchase anything.
Free tomatoes basically from the earth. This is balanced and a key concept of battery banks is: BALANCE.
